Elon Musk’s Fake Bitcoin Investment Promises 4,000% ROI

The so-called “Bitcoin Profit” site pledges for 4,000% return of investment has gone viral since today. The mastermind behind this scam proudly claimed whoever buying $10,394 worth of Bitcoin will earn a return of $421,226, which equivalent to 4,110% in just one week.

As part of marketing strategy and to lure their would-be clients, perpetrators take advantage of well-known figures such as Elon Musk, Kate Winslet, Bill Gates and John Mayers, along with photos and their respective balanced sheets of alleged investments in Bitcoin and associated returns.

Kate Winslet, the Titanic’s famous actress, has been reached out by the UK news, Mirror regarding the scam. According to her representative, this issue is being best dealt with the proper channels.

In addition to these scams, various fraudulent techniques have been used by irresponsible individuals. On Twitter, for instance, fake users impersonating well-known celebrities are trying to fool novices into participating in fake crypto giveaways.
