International Organization for Standardization, ISO, a globally recognized firm, has awarded Binance, the number one cryptocurrency exchange, with ISO/IEC 27001. The information security accreditation is acknowledged universally.
Binance is also declared as the first crypto platform to receive DNV GL and UK’s Accreditation Service (UKAS) certification. In conjunction with the recognition, Binance’s Twitter account proudly posted a tweet sharing their achievement.
“Obtaining the ISO certification is one significant aspect of our security commitment to the industry and our community. We will continue to advance our investment and endeavours in improving cybersecurity defence,” explained Changpeng Zhao, the CEO of Binance.
Zhao also addressed that the hacking which made them lose over $40 million worth Bitcoins, took place as the hackers were able to invade the two-factor authentication codes, API keys and other information.
Nevertheless, the mentioned accreditations, which passed upon 114 criteria across 14 categories-based examinations, makes Binance clients reassured of their asset management, security policy, operational security and information systems.
