Stryking Entertainment (Animoca Brands subsidiary) and the leading German football club FC Bayern Munich have signed a partnership license to produce and dispense blockchain-based digital goods.
FC Bayern is known to be one of the most well-known and famous football clubs worldwide. The club has around 60 million followers on social media and around 290,000 official members of the club. The five-time winner of the Champion’s Trophy, FC Bayern, has won various national and international awards.
Including those stars like Manuel Neuer, Robert Lewandowski, Philippe Coutinho, Lucas Hernández and the German record champion’s other top players, Stryking is working to create a global platform for blockchain-based digital collectibles focused around popular sports licenses.
Stryking Entertainment has also established a game-play for the FC Bayern Munich blockchain-based token along with a digital collectible known as the “Fantasy Sports Challenge System”. This can be operated by using the Non-fungible token (NFT) player cards for respective sports stars to compete against each other.
Players formulate a virtual line-up using their NFTs in order to play against other gamers. The result of these matches is calculated by using historical evidence or real-life results. This procedure helps users to increase the value of their play cards that they can then use to sell and gain money on the market.
In a statement, Chief Executive Officer and founder of Stryking Entertainment Dirk Weyel brought up how their collaboration with FC Bayern was a source of excitement for all of them. He congratulated the FC’s fan-base and said that the company tends to introduce more sport-related goods in the future. According to him, his goal is to create a “global hub” in which people can enjoy the internet and connect with other people with similar interests.
Stryking will provide further information on future developments and the roll-out roadmap for stryking.io in the coming weeks.
It is worth noting that cryptocurrency has a major following amongst football fans and now FC Bayern Munich blockchain-based token, card and merchandise, which would further boost the mass adoption.
