The Central Bank of Ireland has granted an e-money license which sanctions financial services across the European Union, to UK based cryptocurrency exchange, Coinbase.
CEO of Coinbase UK, Zeeshan Feroz stated that the license eventually enhances Coinbase’s plan to develop its Irish-based service and able to do business in any European Economic Area (EAA) without having to seek permission from each country.
Feroz added that “European expansion will create new jobs and grow the burgeoning Irish crypto economy.” It is also noteworthy that Coinbase attained the opportunity to enter the UK’s Faster Payment Scheme through ClearBank, earlier this month.
