Isaac Edward Austin, a 50-year old American ex-basketball player has allegedly conned a Ghanaian firm and robbed them off more than $800K worth of Bitcoin. The California-born man has long retired from being a basketball player in 2004.
Austin, who is also known as “Ike” has publicly claimed on his LinkedIn profile to be the trustee of Isaac Edward Austin and Tudor Trust firm. He then lured the Ghanaian firm to invest more than 70 BTC with him and Austin is summoned to return the amount of $825,000 by July 3rd.
Notably, despite countless attempts to get in touch with Austin, the firm has not been able to get a response back, and the money has not been returned to the firm up to this day. Austin has also refused to answer and comment on numerous questions from the media in regards of the scandal.
