Police in Seremban nabbed five individual suspects involving four men and a woman in separate raids for stealing 85 Bitcoin mining machines. The machines that worth over RM40,000 were reportedly stolen at a warehouse in Seremban.
Suspects who reportedly aged between 25 to 46 years old were working as traders, construction workers and some were unemployed. The Seremban authority had also seized a car, a four-wheel drive and equipment used in the stealing.
Seremban police chief Supt Mohd Said Ibrahim said that suspects were likely to rent out a place next to the warehouse before the stealing and drilled their way through the concrete wall into the compound before taking the machines out. Motion for stealing was believed to using the machines for their benefits.
In addition to that, according to Supt Mohd Said all suspects were closely related as friends and have no previous criminal records. The five of them are now being investigated under Section 457 of the Penal Code.
