The leading cryptocurrency Ripple company has partnered with one of the world’s best universities, the Oxford Foundry to foster Blockchain knowledge and innovations. The Oxford Foundry is a new entrepreneurial centre for the University of Oxford. The effort was to further expand its University Blockchain Research Initiative (UBRI) that was launched in mid-year 2018.
The coalition would create a network of exceptionally tech-savvy students who could engage with top companies in their respective niche. From now on, about 1,000 Oxford students will be able to expand their knowledge in blockchain and other advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML).
“We’re absolutely delighted to be partnering with Ripple. The UK has a big tech skills gap and we’re helping address that,” said Ana Bakshi, director of the Oxford Foundry.
As per report, the UBRI already had 29 universities under its belt, since February. The main aim of the initiative is to cultivate Blockchain innovations around the globe.
