Pundi X, an Ethereum token that aims to make it easier for people to purchase goods and services using crypto has developed a fully blockchain-powered smartphone that runs two different operating systems (OS) at the same time, named Blok on Blok (BOB).
The world’s first modular smartphone powered by blockchain, every act on the phone, from sending texts, making calls, browsing the web, to file sharing, all happen on a decentralized network, making it highly encrypted, thus secure.
Other than that, the phone runs on Android 9.0 Pie in the traditional mode, which offers all the functions as on a regular Android phone and it is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset with Adreno 512 GPU. It is also paired with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage where users can expand the storage by up to 512GB.
BOB is also the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2020 Innovation Award Honoree, where the CES Innovation Awards program is an annual competition honouring outstanding design and engineering in consumer technology products, and the program recognizes honorees in a multitude of consumer technology product categories and distinguishes the highest rated in each.
It is notable that within the blockchain mode, you can call, message or browse the internet without a centralized service provider. So, no one can block, monitor or spy on your calls, messages or data because your privacy matters.
