Since we are towards the end of 2019, looking back at the year reminds us that it was notably a bit of turbulence throughout. The roller-coaster year comprised serious hacks, different kinds of regulations all over the world, recent market crash and many other significant events.
As a way of appreciating those Malaysian crypto enthusiasts who are still in the crypto community, DIFY, a PR & Marketing company together with Bitcoin Malaysia organized a Crypto Christmas Party yesterday at the Double Tree by Hilton, Malaysia.
The event started with a wonderful welcome speech by Jason Chew, the Managing Partner at Bitcoin Malaysia, as he excitedly run through the achievements of Malaysia-based organizations that includes Luno, the first regulator approved cryptocurrency exchange, Tokenize, Sinegy, Luxtag, Blocklime, Steem, Falcon, Fortifex, Access Blockchain Association and never forgetting us, Techcryption, the first media in Malaysia, that covers crypto and blockchain news.
Another interesting part of the event was the introduction to the world-leading blockchain technology service provider, Chain Up’s venture into Malaysia, where its Founder & CEO, Gengfa Zhong explained briefly why are exchanges easily hacked and how their exchange software works.
After that, Jason caught the attendees’ attention as he spontaneously created his ‘invisible fish bowl’ and picked up random people from the crowd to have a quick chat on the industry, rather than the traditional way of having a panel discussion. Among the randomly picked crypto admirers were Rene Bernard from Luxtag, Aaron from Luno, Harpreet from Blocklime, Ellena from Infinito and our very own Diyana from Techcryption.
The last and exciting part of the event was Jason Vandal, the blockchain and bitcoin rapper who turned into the crypto santa and rapped a song for the crowd, which followed by a Christmas present distribution, where one lucky audience got a RM300 worth BTC.
As a whole, it was a great event to reminisce the events of the entire year in the crypto sphere and appreciate the gains and learn from the loss.
