Facebook’s crypto project, Libra had many partners withdrawing last year, even before the coin is launched. Additionally, Vodafone, a global telecoms giant has also left its partnership to join hands with M-Pesa, a successful mobile money transmission system popular in East and Southern Africa.
“We have said from the outset that Vodafone’s desire is to make a genuine contribution to extending financial inclusion. We remain fully committed to that goal and feel we can make the most contribution by focusing our efforts on [mobile payments platform] M-Pesa.”

Despite all this loss of partners, Facebook’s libra still stands strong opposing all the criticism as it prepares new 2.0 roadmap for 2020 launch. It is also notable that the Libra testnet is already running eight testnet validator nodes, while tests are being done on consensus and its potential flaws.
