Justin Sun, the CEO of Tron is no stranger to speculations and has a bad reputation for being an opportunist as he always takes advantage of an event to promote himself or his organization. But his tweet on the legendary basketball player Kobe Bryant has made netizens backlash him badly.
The demise of Kobe and his daughter Gianna Maria Onore Bryant has put thousands of people in a disbelief state and has flooded social media with an outpouring of grief, not leaving Sun, as Kobe has always been an inspiration to many.
It is notable that Kobe was very transparent about his support towards blockchain and attended the niTROn convention in 2019. Nevertheless, netizens feel it is unnecessary to mention on a post to express grief.
Not more than 30 minutes after Sun’s tweet, a user commented that “using his death as a marketing tool is in really bad taste.” Among the comments include, “Way to promote your product twice in a memorial”, “For Justin Sun, everything is a path to a market” and “Have you no shame?” in a GIF format.
Although there were other tweeters who supported Sun’s tweet, it is surely something to ponder twice as his past profile shows that he is capable of doing what he is accused of.
