Alipay is a third-party mobile and online payment platform, established in Hangzhou, China in February 2004 by Alibaba Group and its founder Jack Ma. Remarkably, during the hard time of Covid-19 (Corona) outbreak, the firm has launched its epidemic prevention information service platform.
According to Alipay, the platform is leveraging on Ant Blockchain technology and will be conducted by the Health Commission and Committee of Economic and Information Technology of Zhejiang Province.
With a blockchain-based platform, credible connections and transparency are possible. This is because all changes on a blockchain platform are confirmed by the owner on the chain so the blockchain’s entire record can be traced efficiently.
At present, the Zhejiang Province Medical Materials Security Group has launched the first material requirements list, which includes medical masks and protective clothing. In addition, the firm provides blockchain program power to the epidemic-related small program developers for free and special funding support.
