If you forget to put on deodorant and you don’t want to smell like you’ve been at the gym, cut a fresh lemon or orange into two halves and just rub it onto your skin. The body odour will disappear.
Get Wrinkles Out of Your Laundry with Zero Effort
Ditch the time-consuming iron or handheld steamer to get wrinkles out of your shirt or slacks. Throw a few ice cubes on a wet washcloth in the dryer with your wrinkled clothes. As the ice melts and the water turns to steam, it will remove the wrinkles. This trick isn’t as effective with heavier clothing but is a miracle for lighter fabrics. The best part is that you don’t have to set the dryer for longer than 10 minutes for it to work.
No Bottle Opener? No Problem!
Opening a bottle without a bottle opener is the ultimate party trick. Some use shoes, others use their teeth. I would suggest using another bottle to apply pressure and remove the top of the bottle. You’ll never need another bottle opener again — until you only have one bottle left.
When taking a picture, squint your eyes to make your smile look much more genuine.
Remove Toilet Bowl Stains
Pour a can of Coca-Cola into the toilet bowl, and let it sit overnight. Then wash it with soapy water, and flush. Your toilet bowl will shine bright like a diamond!
Renew Your Furniture in Minutes
If your kids plastered all of the furniture in his room with their favourite cartoon stickers, don’t be mad. You can peel off all the stickers using a puffy knife in combination with hairdryer, to soften the adhesive. Some are harder to remove than others, but I had them all off in a couple of hours.
Save Your Phone Charger
Good tips for iPhone users, as their phone chargers are so fragile. To make your phone charger lasts for a long time, try out this simple hack! Start by removing the spring from a pen. Next, stretch one end of the spring out a bit so it can fit around the charger cable. You might need to use pliers for this. Now, wind the spring around the cable until it is completely on the charger cable. Next, take appropriately sized heat shrink tubing and slip it over the phone charger and spring. Use a lighter to warm the heat shrink tubing until it conforms around the charger and spring. This simple hack will keep the cord from breaking any further or from even breaking in the first place!
If you have bad-smelling shoes, place a few dry tea bags inside each shoe to absorb the smell. If the shoes are not just smelly but also wet, fill them with a mixture of rice and baking soda and leave for a few days.
Start A Fire
Chips are not just a tasty snack. Fat, oil and the chemical contained in potato or other chips make them a perfect fire-starting material. This is a good life hack when you go on a camping trip.
If your new shoes feel too tight, here’s a way to stretch them. Stuff each shoe with wet newspaper as tightly as you can. Let the shoes dry, and then remove the newspaper.
Unclog Drains Easily
Run hot water down the drain for a minute, and then sprinkle 1 cup of baking soda down the drain. Slowly pour 1 cup of vinegar down the drain. Flush one more time with hot or boiling water.
Your Shoes Will Look New
Your sneakers look dull? Undeniably, we love a pair of white sneakers, but keeping them clean sometimes seems like an impossible task. Luckily, you can make your sneakers or shoes look brand new again. All you need is an old toothbrush and a little toothpaste to get your old sneakers looking like new! Non-gel white toothpaste works great for cleaning white-soled sneakers (coloured toothpaste may stain rather than clean the sneakers). Apply toothpaste to an old toothbrush and then work the paste into the dirty spots. Leave the toothpaste on the shoes for about ten minutes, and then wipe it off with a damp towel. Repeat the process if necessary.
