The crypto twitter has been bombarded with tweets regarding the frozen operations on Binance exchange. Earlier on Wednesday, the exchange announced “temporary system maintenance” without prior warning.

Reportedly, the exchange suspended most available services at Binance, including withdrawals. The crypto community, along with crypto analyst Michal van de Poppe, in particular, are demanding a statement from the Binance CEO, Changpeng Zhao (CZ).
After several people addressed him directly on Twitter, CZ finally tweeted that the issue was due to the technical problems. He added that the issue has no connection with assets.
Trading paused due to a message broker issue. Working on it.

A few hours after the downtime announcement, CZ tweeted to confirm that all services were back online. He emphasized that all the funds are safe, with a hashtag #SAFU.
Withdrawals resumed. All services back to normal. Thank you for your support and understanding.

This is not the first time that Binance has had to pause trading unexpectedly. Last month, the crypto exchange temporarily disabled a host of features. These included deposits, withdrawals, spot, and margin trading, along with other services.
